Light Weight Foam Concrete

Light weight foam concrete or cellular concrete is an insulating concrete composing of Portland cement and air entrapping agents or pre-generated foam. As the mix cures air cells remain in the concrete. It is widely used for construction of composite structural decks and as a fill material over some decks and to create light weight slopes for decks.

Cellular concrete is also used widely for geotechnical applications such as replacement of unstable soils, void fills in silos, tunnel back fill, shock energy absorption, pipe bedding etc…
